Bring it on
Hey again people. Another comic & another mini blog for you, this time on the subject of conventions!
Last year was a big year for “Moo & Keo” and one of the largest jumps, as well as producing books, was starting to get out onto the con circuit. Over the 3 conventions I attended last year I’m slowly learning the right and wrong ways to go about it all (if you don’t know what you’re doing it’s not always bright to ask questions, especially ones relating to sales, some people find it rude, who knew, I try and keep my noobish mouth shut now) and thoroughly enjoying it along the way. This year will be an extension of last year and I’m planning to try and double my con appearances so I can get out and see as many of you fun people as I can.
I will be putting up a proper “Conventions and Appearences” page soon enough but for now I can at the very least announce the first two conventions that I will be attending:
March 5th & 6th 2011 – Collectormania London/The Entertainment Media Show
This one was confirmed mere minutes ago. I’ll be in the Comic Zone (or Artist’s Alley, I’m not sure which) for both days. It’s at the Olympia 2 in London, full details can be found on the site. They have some cool media guests as well as comic-y things and more. The first cons I ever went to as a young geek were Collectormania ones (albeit the Milton Keynes ones) so they hold a special place in my heart.
March 12th – London Comic & Small Press Expo
The spiritual successor to the now defunct “UK Webcomics Thing” this is a smaller con that is solely aimed at comics and other small press “stuff”. If you like that sort of thing (and of course you do, you’re here) then it should be a great con. Lots of really talented people will be in attendance and a lot of them you can even see in the pub afterwards.
As well as bringing books, badges and other “Moo & Keo” related bits and bobs to sell I also have the fabled “Certified AWESOME” stamp to mark you as you should be. Pop by and say hi!
I’m hoping to make more con announcements in the weeks and months ahead so stay tuned.
See you for another comic and blog on Monday,
Matt
